All the Tools: A Visual Tribute to Dad, Directed by Mike Bautista
In 2024, we were invited by Cluster & Bosk to collaborate on a very special campaign for Home Depot in celebration of Father’s Day. For this project, one of our directors, Mike Bautista, was brought on to direct a piece filled with emotion, simplicity, and deep meaning.
The result was a spot composed of three intimate vignettes that reflect the bond between a father and his children through everyday moments. We see a father—a man with a kind face, warm eyes, and strong hands—helping his son fix a bicycle, guiding his daughter as she hangs a family picture, and later teaching his older son how to sand wood in the garage. Simple moments that, at the end of the day, are the ones that stay with us.
The final voiceover is a powerful reflection from the daughter, who recalls how, when she moved out for the first time, her dad gave her a toolbox. That memory leads to the closing line, which captures the heart of the piece:
“Dad, don’t you realize you already gave us all the tools?”
A subtle yet powerful message that honors the gestures, the presence, and the quiet teachings passed on over the years.

A Direction Rooted in Emotion
From the director’s chair, Mike approached the project with an intimate lens, seeking an honest portrayal of family bonds. Every scene was designed with visual and narrative sensitivity, placing emotional connection above any cinematic trick. The lighting, the pacing, and the performances were all carefully crafted with one clear intention: to truly move the viewer.
This intention was especially present during the casting process. After auditioning dozens of fathers, Mike conducted an experimental workshop in which many of them ended up in tears—right there, on the floor—moved by the introspective and theatrical exercise. It was a deeply enriching process. The search for the children in the cast was equally special; many of the young actors left the sessions having experienced a kind of emotional “express therapy” tied to their own family memories and relationships.
This collaboration with Cluster & Bosk was also an opportunity to bring in our cinematic perspective and our commitment to telling stories that matter. The creative and production team trusted Mike’s direction completely, and that trust allowed the project to grow in depth and authenticity.

Telling Stories with Purpose
At Antimateria, we believe brands have the power to connect with people through narratives that go beyond the product. This spot is a clear example: a story that’s not just about tools, but about how we build the most important relationships in our lives.
