Monterrey, N.L. — Carls Jr. has officially marked a new chapter in its history within Monterrey with the opening of its 50th restaurant in the city, located in Park Point, Cumbres. An achievement that resonates not only as commercial growth but as a celebration of more than three decades of being part of the daily life of regiomontanos.
Since the opening of its first restaurant in 1991, Carls Jr. has not only served iconic burgers; it has accompanied moments. Birthdays, first dates, first jobs, unexpected meetups, and long nights after the stadium: the brand has been present in personal stories that feel like home.
To commemorate this milestone, Carls Jr. released a commemorative spot that encapsulates the essence of the city and pays tribute to the emotional connection it has built with generations of guests. The audiovisual piece also celebrates Monterrey’s cultural identity by integrating emblematic elements such as the Rayados and Tigres football teams, as well as everyday moments that resonate with the local experience.
Antimateria Films had the honor of participating in the production of this project as an associate production company, in collaboration with Noisy Films as the main production house, and under the leadership of Mike Bautista as Executive Producer, Guillermo Soriano as Director, and Jorge Tancun as Producer.

A Spot Inspired by Real Stories
The concept of the commercial revolves around a clear message: Carls Jr. hasn’t just grown; it has grown alongside Monterrey. The original treatment opens with an old photograph of the first 1991 restaurant, which transitions into a current façade. This shift symbolizes the growth not only of the brand, but of the city itself.Throughout the spot, vignettes depict situations recognizable to anyone who has lived in Monterrey:
“This is where I started my first job.”
“This is where I celebrated my first birthday with friends, and I still do.”
“This is where we had our first date, and we still order the same thing.”
These scenes intertwine with everyday moments: friends sharing a burger at the stadium, a couple reminiscing about their first date, a team member smiling at Fast Drive, families celebrating together. Each scene is narrated with a voice that reinforces the heart of the message:“No matter the moment, the place, or the company, a good Carls Jr. always finds space in your story.”
A Tribute to Monterrey
Taking part in the creation of this spot represented an invaluable opportunity for Antimateria Films and the entire team involved: contributing to a piece that celebrates the essence of Monterrey—its culture, its community, and the stories that unfold day by day inside and outside a Carls Jr. restaurant. As a creative team, it was a privilege to participate in a project that not only announces a new opening but celebrates what it means to live, grow, and share moments in Monterrey.
With the opening of its 50th location, the brand reaffirms its presence in the city and thanks regiomontanos for accompanying them on this journey.“Thank you Monterrey for letting us shine… always close to you.”
